The new police station included the construction of a detention area, complete workout facility, city-wide emergency response center, detective offices, administrative offices, training room and maintenance facility for police vehicles. A unique feature of the three-story building is the terrazzo tile police badge in the floor of the lobby. The badge was designed by a local artist and is a distinguished feature of the police uniform as well as a landmark within the new station.
