Construction Update: February 12, 2018

Burke Hall and the Denison Museum will remain open during construction.  Signage is in place to direct visitors to the College Street entrances. College Street will be closed until the next community event.  The sidewalk on the north side of Broadway will remain closed throughout the project.  Please use the walk on the south side of West Broadway.  To enable the public to view the construction progress, a section of the fence screening along the east end of the southern construction fence has been removed.

The tower crane will be disassembled and removed from the site on Monday, February 12th. The scaffolding surrounding the stage house and audience chamber is presently being removed and will reveal the finished stage house siding. The siding will be painted as the weather improves.

The structural steel and roof deck over the audience chamber is nearly complete. The exterior framing around the dance studio, at the northern end of the Eisner Building, and along the ground floor of the south side is in process. The concrete masonry walls for the east stair tower and upper stories of the first elevator shaft are scheduled to commence the week of February 12th. The mechanical and electrical infrastructure, equipment and controls continue to be installed in the basement.

We appreciate the patience and understanding of the community, Village of Granville and Denison University as we can be noisy and sometimes messy neighbors throughout the construction of the new Performing Arts Center.
