Robertson served as the general contractor on the renovation of the Cosmetology Laboratory. Due to the expansion of the program, more work room was needed and the renovation needed to occur while school was in session. The space now accommodates fifty cosmetology stations, twenty-five manicure stations, four pedicure stations, and two spa rooms.

Robertson served as the General Contractor on a New Welding Lab for CTEC of Licking County. We repurposed the existing high-bay space to accommodate the installation of fifty welding stations and a new locker room. The teacher display booth features monitors that provide students the ability to view the welding techniques within each welding station. To maintain fresh air in the laboratory, a 100 horsepower fan was installed to exhaust the welding fumes.

Robertson served as the Construction Manager at Risk on the Dublin City School District High School Athletic Facilities project. The Project involved new multi-use sports facilities and press boxes for the softball and baseball complexes at both the Coffman and Scioto High Schools. We also renovated the weight room and café at Scioto High School.

The athletic complex consists of a multi-sport synthetic turf field, eight lane track, home and visitor’s bleachers, a press box, an athletic service facility, two concession buildings, and a boardwalk with an observation deck. The athletic service facility is a 21,260 square foot field house with, home team and away team locker rooms, coaches offices, a weight room and indoor synthetic turf field.

Lima Ridge Elementary School, named after the Lima Township, on of the original townships along with Jersey and Summit Station, to form the Licking Heights Local School District in the late 1950’s. The new elementary school will serve kindergarten through fourth grade promoting 21^st century learning with thirty-four classrooms, a special needs unit, art and music rooms, a gymnasium, media center and Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) laboratory.

The Newark City School District Preschool and Digital Academy project was renovation and repurposing of the former 325,000 SF State Farm building located in Newark Ohio. Commercial office space was converted into pre-school classrooms, a Digital Academy and a new technology department for the school district. During the renovation, a portion of the building remained open and was leased to The Ohio State University and Central Ohio Technical College and the school district utilized the other available space for professional development and events. Robertson coordinated the construction with these events to ensure the safety of all participants.

Robertson served as the Construction Manager at Risk on the Dublin City School District Coffman High School Building Envelope Upgrades project. Throughout the school year, with minimal disruption to school operations and the academic environment, we replaced the entire building façade with new windows and exterior siding and enhanced the quality of the exterior lighting.

Robertson served as the Design-Builder on the Northridge Local School District New Athletic Complex. The New Athletic Stadium features and eight-lane track, a synthetic turf field, grandstands and a press box and a new scoreboard. The new facilities will serve the sports teams, marching band, student population and community for years to come.

Robertson served as the Construction Manager at Risk on the sixth middle school in the Olentangy Local School District, Berlin Middle School. The new building features state-of-the-art classrooms, a gymnasium, cafeteria, and media center. Despite significant challenges throughout the supply chain, Robertson was able to deliver the school ahead of schedule.

As the Construction Manager at Risk, Robertson addressed latent structural and infrastructure deficiencies throughout the facility and created a cohesive architectural language across the campus to provide a consistent experience for students, faculty, staff, and visitors.

The enhancements included a new exterior façade with improved wayfinding and building identification, updated site and entrance lighting, new canopies, and improved infrastructure for the academic and administrative facilities.

Robertson served as the Construction Manager at Risk on the New High School for the Licking Local School District. The state-of-the-art facility contains a fully equipped auditorium and modern gymnasium. To work within the budget and aggressive construction schedule, the structure consists of load bearing concrete masonry units and structural steel with a brick veneer and metal panel exterior. The interior partitions are primarily metal studs with abuse resistant gypsum board.

Sharing a campus with the New High School, the New Intermediate School offers traditional classrooms and STEM classrooms that encompass the gymnasium, student dining, media center, music and art rooms. The multi-story structure, with a brick façade and metal roof, accentuates the school colors of black and gold at the entrances and throughout the interiors.

As the new flagship within the Southwest Licking Local School District and part of a $130 million capital improvement and district-wide building program, the New High School offers over fifty classrooms, two gymnasiums, a band room, a 750-seat auditorium equipped with a full-fly stage and a media center. Throughout the preconstruction process we worked closely with the design team and school administration which facilitated a successful Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) Amendment negotiation within 1.0% of the estimated cost.

The natural topography of the site and limitations within Johnstown’s existing campus, promoted a three-story classroom wing on the New Johnstown High School. An efficient floor plan enables students to move freely through the school and provides opportunities for flexibility learning spaces and 21st century learning.

The New Elementary School is nestled in the heart of a residential community and embodies the character of the neighborhood. The building design and exterior façades emulate the appearance of the adjacent homes and serve as a landmark within the community. Flexible learning spaces within the school promote student collaboration and 21st century learning.

The Minerva France Elementary School is the first new elementary school to open in the district in twenty years. It was named in honor of the black librarian and former Westerville student, Minerva France, and the design is a tribute to the former Minerva Park Amusement Park with a curved portion of the exterior being inspired by the Park’s Scenic Railway roller-coaster. The New Elementary School contains specialized learning classrooms and will provide opportunities for students to attend schools closer to home.

Robertson served as the Construction Manager at Risk on the interior renovations of the Anna Local School District Middle | High School and Elementary School. We worked with the school administration to develop a construction and school operations phasing schedule that would enable both activities to occur simultaneously. A large portion of the renovations were dedicated to mechanical, plumbing, electrical and fire suppression systems. The work at the Elementary was planned and procured in advance to allow the work to occur as a summer renovation.

The New Engineering Technology Building not only expands the Career Center’s student capacity but enhances the student experience in the welding, aviation and pre-engineering programs. More welding booths, flight simulators and multipurpose space, along with a new mechatronics program, will emulate real-world experiences and prepare student for the workforce.

After six bond issues, the New Elementary School became a reality and will replace the ninety-five year old school in Alexandria. As the Design-Builder, a delivery model not common to K-12 schools, we were able to streamline the preconstruction process, collaborate with the design team and local school administration, and deliver a cost-effective, structurally sound and energy-efficient school that will serve the community for another ninety-five years.

Robertson served as the Construction Manager at Risk on Kramer Elementary in Oxford, Ohio. We successfully negotiated and executed the Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) Amendment with subcontractor bids within 0.2% of the GMP budget. Upon completion of the new facilities, the old schools were abated and demolished.

To enhance the athletic experience within the Granville Exempted Village School District, we revitalized the existing High School Stadium with new ADA compliant bleachers and restrooms, a synthetic turf athletic field capable of accommodating all sixteen field-based sports and recreational leagues, a resurfaced track, new concession stands and locker rooms. The freshly renovated stadium will be dedicated as the Walter J. Hodges Stadium.

The Career & Technology Education Center (CTEC) of Licking County is honored with the distinction of being the first school in the state of Ohio to earn any type of LEED certification from the United States Green Building Council. The LEED Silver certified renovation of the existing 147,061 square foot facility included architectural, mechanical, and electrical upgrades and enhancements to the exterior facades. The expansion added thirty-six classrooms, automotive and building trade areas, a gymnasium, auditorium, library, cosmetology, culinary arts and administrative spaces.

The 84,000 square foot addition and 20,000 square foot renovation of Heath High School was Robertson’s first K-12 school project in the state of Ohio. To accommodate the aggressive twelve-month schedule, we self-performed the concrete foundations, precast concrete slab, metal studs and drywall, acoustical ceilings, site preparation and miscellaneous carpentry items.

The enhanced functionality and energy efficiency provided by the renovations to the Wilson Middle School earned it LEED Silver certification by the United States Green Building Council. As one of our most memorable K-12 school renovation projects, the transformation of the historic Middle School into a modern learning environment will serve the Newark City School District and provide unparalleled opportunities for it students for the next several years.

The original High School built in 1960 was a cluster of disconnected buildings that resembled a college campus. Students would walk outside to go from class to class and ate in four separate lunchrooms. The New High School brings all buildings under one roof with one lunchroom. The epicenter of the school is the windowed roof of a rotunda which seems to be favorite gathering spot.

The High School addition included science and technology rooms, a new principal’s office, a full-service kitchen and a cafeteria for student dining. The flooring at the main entrance to the school was Italian porcelain tile. Another prominent feature of the facility is a large outdoor courtyard/auditorium.

Shale Meadows Elementary School is the sixteenth elementary school in the Olentangy Local School District and the fifth elementary school Robertson has built within the District. The timeline to complete the school was the most aggressive in their history and faced complications with the land donation and local infrastructure – telephone, fiber optics and the sanitary sewer. We rose to the challenge and opened the school as scheduled for the 2021-2022 school year.

The Indian Springs Elementary School was our second K-12 school. To promote an early finish, the General Trades contract contained a monetary incentive for each calendar day the school was finished ahead of schedule. We coordinated all the trades and managed all aspects of the schedule to capitalize on the incentive. We were able to maximize the incentive and completed the school thirty days in advance of the completion date.

Robertson served as the General Contractor, in a multiple prime contracting environment, on the Columbus Public Schools Clinton Elementary Addition and Renovation project. The restoration and 10,000 square foot addition to the historic structure, originally constructed in 1921, preserved the character of the original facility while providing modern technology and building systems to achieve LEED Gold certification.

The new Georgian Heights Elementary School is an energy efficient, LEED Gold certified facility utilizing geothermal technology. In addition to its sustainable construction, the new elementary school exhibits natural beauty by incorporating multi-colored, multi-patterned architectural precast panels in its structure and houses a state-of-the-art library and learning center.

As the General Contractor, on a multiple-prime contract with the Zanesville City School District, Robertson was able to maintain the extremely aggressive schedule on the New High School project despite the 1,000 cubic yards of rock encountered during the sitework. On the Project, we self-performed all sitework, concrete, doors, frames and hardware and all miscellaneous specialties.

As the General Contractor, Robertson built the new gymnasium and classroom addition to the Tri-Valley Local School District High School. The additions consisted of a masonry structure, on spread footings, with a brick façade and EPDM roof. The interiors included a wood gym floor, acoustical metal decking, a cafetorium with a stage and balcony, and a new science classroom wing. The new main entrance features a radius glass cupola and an extravagant display and trophy case.
